Melanie A. Bach, DDS
Dr. Bach moved to Virginia from Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She earned her undergraduate degree in Business from Duquesne University and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004. Her father was also a dentist. Dr. Bach opened her practice in 2006 and the practice has grown immensely with her strong leadership. Dr. Bach is a huge fan of the Outer Banks, and loves spending time with her family. Go Steelers!
Victoria W. Crowder, DDS
Dr. Crowder was raised in Midlothian and earned her undergraduate degree in Zoology from North Carolina State University. She graduated with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011. She went on to complete a one year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, also at VCU. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Richmond Dental Society. Dr. Crowder and her husband recently welcomed a baby girl to the family, born January 2017.
Sara Haroon, RDH
Sara graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from VCU in 2006 and continues her involvement at the school as a part-time clinical instructor. Sara was recognized as one of VCU’s all-time Top 40 Dental Hygiene Alumni in 2009, and received the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award from the MCV Alumni Association in 2016. She is an active community volunteer and was awarded the Life Membership Award from the West End Jaycees in 2012.
Chelsea Darden, RDH
Chelsea is a 2014 graduate of the VCU School of Dentistry with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Chelsea has provided dental hygiene services on several Mission of Mercy projects around Virginia. She was a recipient of the 2014 Colgate STAR award, showing excellence and commitment to dental hygiene by demonstrating dedication to the profession, passion in patient care, enthusiasm and follow-through for community service, and enjoyment in practicing dental hygiene. She grew up in the Midlothian area, is active with her church, and enjoys travelling with her husband.
Amanda Ricker, RDH
Amanda brings over 10 years of dental hygiene experience to the office as a 2006 graduate of the VCU School of Dentistry. Amanda has experience with a variety of mission trips, including VCU’s Jamaica Project where she provided dental hygiene services to Jamaican residents with limited dental access. She grew up in Emporia, VA, and enjoys spending time with her family.
Melanie Haley, Insurance Coordinator
Melanie has been with Dr. Bach since 2007 and is the insurance guru. Melanie handles all accounts receivable, including generating insurance claims and patient co-pays. Additionally, she is the office HIPAA manager. She obtained an Associate’s degree in 2001 in General Education from College of the Albemarle. She is active with her church and enjoys returning home with her husband and kids to the Outer Banks as often as possible.
Jessica New, Patient Coordinator
Jessica brings nearly 10 years of dental experience to the office, and has experience with both the font and back of the house operations. Jessica is a graduate of the Bryant and Stratton Dental Assisting program and is dental radiation certified. She enjoys visiting relatives in Virginia Beach, and spending as much time as possible outdoors with her family.
Dana Day, Dental Assistant
Dana received her dental assisting training at the Chesterfield Technical Center and has over 15 years of experience in the field. She is the OSHA officer, and is also dental radiation, CPR, and first aid certified. Dana is committed to making each visit a relaxed and positive experience for our patients. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
Amy Robinson, Dental Assistant
Amy brings over 20 years of dental assisting experience to our team. Amy is the dental implant coordinator for the office and enjoys the hands-on nature of her job. She is dental radiation, CPR, and first aid certified. Amy loves animals, especially dogs and otters, but has an extra special place in her heart for beagles.
